Once again DUNLOP tyres have dominated the Targa Tasmania results, with 4 of the top 7 cars using the dominant rubber.
Congratulations to Jason and John White who won the event outright in their 2016 Dodge Viper ACR Extreme. Pushing them all the way to the last day was the Porsche GT3 of Matt Close and Cameron Reeves. Unfortunately they speared off the road half a kilometre into the opening stage of the day south of Hobart. Matt was using the newly released
DUNLOP Sport Maxx Race 2 on his Porsche.
At the finish second place went to the Glenney-Sarandis Subaru, also on
DUNLOP.
In the highly contested GT4 category, Dunlops won the class, and were fitted to 5 of the top 6 cars. Dunlop tyres were also fitted to 3 of the top 5 finishers.
In all, Dunlop tyres were fitted to a whopping 44% of the field, followed by Yokohama at 28%, Kumho 7% and Toyo 6%.
